Teresa took our car to a mechanic, who made a “quick fix” on our windshield wipers with the understanding that he’ll salvage the new part we need during and make a permanent fix later in the week. Unfortunately, as we were driving home during a snow storm tonight, the left wiper gave out and got disconnected from the right one. As a result, the only way to clear the windshield on the driver’s side was to stop the car, run outside, and manually operate the left wiper. To add to this, the road was so slick, the car would swerve, was hard to stop, and could barely make it up hills. Eventually I just learned to live with a blurry, wet windshield, training myself to see in spite of it. In the end, I’m alive and writing this post.
