Kiki’s Delivery Service is a brilliant film. Nothing makes me quite as happy as a Studio Ghibli film. I laugh at everything Disney does to try and present the films to an American audience, prepping them for the very un-American flavor. There’s a naturalism, a sweetness, and an unadulterated sense of fantasy in these films that is utterly foreign to our paradigm and yet so superior. I love it.
