I’m now completing Day 2 of my 5 day weekend. I was looking forward to lots of free time in which I could write novels and such, but instead I’ve spent 100% of my time being a stay-at-home Dad. The irony is that I haven’t actually given Teresa a break. Our daughters have had both a stay-at-home mom and dad, and there’s been no shortage of work to get done. In fact, it’s taken us two days to clean our room. Really. Staying at home and doing housework has a way of burning up hours as few things can, giving one the sensation of accomplishing absolutely nothing. My heart goes out to housewives everywhere.
