Oh the monotony of our days, the pouncing of the 5:00 mornings, the torture of the gym, the drudgery of work, the drudgery of housework, the drudgery of … kids … the drudgery of our extracurricular pursuits, our hopeless hopes of somehow ending this drudgery, the paradoxical tasks requiring our greatest exertions, yet consigned to the height of our fatigue, and finally the drudgery of our nightly rituals and the abandonment to oblivion, knowing we’re resetting ourselves back to zero, slaves of the inescapable wheel. I hear some people take leisure time each day. How they do it I cannot fathom.
