This morning we woke up to an angry voice. While it was still pitch dark outside, our two-year-old Aspen had tromped into our bedroom and declared in an outraged voice, “You can’t leave people all alone in their rooms!” She then climbed onto our bed and, rather than slipping under our covers as usual, just sat there being grouchy. My wife Teresa reasoned with Aspen that she had just left her sister Ariah alone in their bedroom. Aspen realized Teresa’s point and returned to her room. We went back to sleep.
